The establishment and operation of a professional association of medical physicists to:
a) work with stakeholders to improve the quality and safety of the application of physics in medicine;
b) unite members of the medical physics profession and promote the character and status of the profession, support ethical practices, and consider questions of professional usage and courtesy among members of the profession;
c) promote the maintenance and improvement of the qualifications and standards of the profession;
d) share information for the mutual benefit of the members;
e) represent the members and present their views to other associations, government and regulatory agencies;
and such other complementary purposes not inconsistent with these objects.
