Call for Volunteers to Define Scope of Practice for Ontario Medical Physicists

The OAMP is seeking volunteers from the membership to help define the Scope of Professional Practice of Medical Physicists in Ontario.

Goal of the SoPPWG

In preparation for providing comments on the EADMD regulations Task Group, the OAMP has identified a need to define the scope of professional practice of Medical Physics in Ontario.

• Review the current state of the professional practice of Medical Physics in Ontario through engagement of key stakeholders (Medical Physicists, Physics Associates/Assistants, Health Physicists, Biomedical Engineers, Accelerator Technologist, others as determined by the SoPPWG).
• Assess other professions’ scope of practice statements to determine the best format for ours.
